Job summary

Inclusion Group is seeking a Finance Director to lead the group’s finance, accounting and treasury activities. You will advise the Board, shape financial strategy and ensure robust financial planning to support growth and mission-driven housing solutions.

The role requires proven finance leadership, delivery of regulatory compliance and risk management, and the ability to influence at executive level in a fast-growing social enterprise with turnover around £150M for 2026/27.

Responsibilities

• Advise the Board on finance and treasury management matters.
• Lead financial planning, viability assessments, value delivery and service quality within available resources.
• Manage the Business's finance team and oversee performance management.
• Advise the Executive and Board on key financial strategies, policies and decisions related to finance, treasury and performance.
• Ensure appropriate finance and treasury policies and regulatory compliance are in place.
• Interpret financial data to inform decision-making and planning.

We are seeking a Finance Director to lead our finance, accounting and treasury management service across the Group help deliver our vision and future plans. You will need to possess proven management accounting leadership experience and qualification, be collaborative and organised and be someone who can expertly lead our Finance Directorate and to influence financial management and business planning as a company executive director to further develop and take forward this award winning entrepreneurial business

Overall, we mostly need your commitment, teamwork and ability to deliver. Exposure to a similar company of scale is desirable but not essential.

The Group turnover is set to reach £150M in 2026/27; the role has significant responsibility.

Job Purpose

• Act as Finance Director for the business and advise the Board on all finance and treasury management matters.
• To manage and initiate effective management in all business-related aspects for which the Director is responsible including but not exclusively to financial planning, business viability, achieving best value, quality of service within the resources available.
• To manage and initiate effective management and procedures and provide leadership in all business-related aspects of the work of the Business, in support of the overarching aim of delivering financial planning and viability, excellent performance, regulatory compliance, robust systems and specifically:
  • To manage the Business's finance team.
  • To manage the Performance Management approach
  • To advise the Executive and Board on key strategies, policies and decisions in relation to finance, treasury management and performance.
  • To ensure that the Business has in place appropriate finance and treasury management policies and procedures to comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • To interpret information and data to inform decision-making and enable planning.

• To ensure Finance and Performance Management planning supports the business plan, is accurately developed and supports wider strategies across the business.
• Responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with all legal, regulatory and statutory requirements governing areas of responsibility including data protection and financial regulations.
• To effectively manage risk management embedding the culture of risk management throughout the department.
• To develop and present appropriate and timely reports to Committee, Board and Senior Management Team.
• To establish a high-performance culture, ensuring that a comprehensive performance management framework is in place.
