Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Data Analyst to join a high-profile finance data programme. You will apply SQL to analyse and reconcile large finance datasets, define data mappings, and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders.

You will help improve data quality, support testing and release activities, and produce clear analyses and reports for technical and non-technical audiences while working across finance, risk, data and technology teams.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills including joins, aggregations, CTEs and performance optimisation.
• Experience working with financial services data.
• Data reconciliation and data quality experience.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker is beneficial.
• Knowledge of BigQuery, data governance or Python would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and reconcile large finance datasets using SQL.
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues across multiple systems.
• Define business rules, data mappings and acceptance criteria.
• Support testing, validation and release activities.
• Produce clear analysis and reporting for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work closely with finance, risk, data and technology teams.
