Job summary

Halfords Group plc is seeking a Finance Data Analyst to turn complex financial and operational data into actionable insights. You’ll work within the finance team on reporting, analytics, and business partnering, with a strong emphasis on Excel and Power BI.

You’ll produce and automate reports, validate data across sources, and collaborate with Finance, IT and other teams. This role offers hybrid working with a mix of site and home-based days and significant development opportunities.

Qualifications

Experience with Excel including formulas, lookups, pivots.
Experience in data analysis, reporting or BI.
Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Produce, maintain and enhance financial and operational reports from multiple data sources.
Investigate data anomalies and validate outputs to explain trends.
Gather requirements from stakeholders and develop reporting solutions.
Build reporting prototypes and analytical models in Excel for scalable processes.
Develop Power BI dashboards delivering clear, actionable insights.
Support automation of manual reporting to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
Present findings clearly to inform business decisions.
