Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to work across operational and digital analytics, building dashboards in Power BI and performing deep-dive SQL analysis. You will translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders, including senior leadership, and contribute to a data platform migration.

The role involves collaborating with Data Science and Market Research teams, analysing customer journeys and product launches, and delivering timely, clear narratives that shape decisions.

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL skills with large datasets for reporting and deep-dive analysis.
• Strong Power BI skills; ability to code to shape data and build dashboards.
• Experience with GA4 in a database environment and digital journeys.
• Analytics experience in UK retail or digital commerce, degree in a quantitative subject.
• Confident communicator who can present to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of analysis projects with stakeholders from director level down.
• Write advanced SQL to extract, manipulate, and structure data from transactional and digital sources including GA4 data.
• Build, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards for commercial and customer performance.
• Translate business challenges into analytical briefs and present actionable insights.
• Analyze customer behaviour, funnels, and product launches using multiple data sources.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Market Research, and Analytics teams to broaden insights.
• Contribute to ongoing data platform migration and shape new data architecture.
