Job summary

Veolia in Wirral is seeking a Finance Data Analyst to ensure timely, accurate data flows for contract payments and regulatory reporting. You will work closely with the finance team to implement controls and deliver monthly KPI reports.

The role requires strong Excel, data analysis, and attention to detail, with hybrid working from Wirral (minimum 3 days in the office). A proactive, collaborative mindset and ability to meet deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

  • Excellent IT skills with advanced spreadsheet proficiency (Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel).
  • Strong numerical understanding and attention to detail.
  • Able to work accurately to tight deadlines unsupervised.
  • Excellent report writing and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage timely and accurate provision of the Contract payment mechanism and audit data quality.
  • Collaborate with managers to implement controls to improve data accuracy.
  • Verify waste data flow information before sending to client.
  • Check weighbridge data for faults, identify trends, and report changes to manager.
  • Produce monthly payment mechanism and ensure all elements are accurate and complete.
  • Generate monthly management reports and KPIs for managers.
  • Support local Finance with historic waste flow data and forecasting.
  • Submit waste data returns to regulatory bodies.
