Job summary

Veolia Group is hiring an Assistant Accountant in Sheffield on a hybrid basis. The role supports financial reporting, reconciliations and accounting operations across the business area, helping ensure accurate ledgers and timely management information.

You will work with the Accountant, Administrators and Finance teams to prepare accounts, analyse KPIs, and support budgeting and forecasts while pursuing CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent professional qualification.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified professionals progressing towards final qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
• Experience with accountancy systems including Workday & Adaptive Planning.
• Strong accuracy and numerical analysis are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support financial reporting, analysis and accounting operations.
• Assist in timely production of management accounts, reconciliations and statutory accounts.
• Analyze financial figures and KPIs and report variances against forecasts.
• Collaborate with finance team to ensure compliance with policies and controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and environmental KPI data collection.
