Job summary

Inghams, based in Farnborough, Hampshire, seeks an experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance function. You will own balance sheet integrity, treasury, and governance across multi-entity operations and act as the final control point at month end.

This hands-on role requires exposure to group consolidations, FX, and regulatory reporting, with strong interaction with auditors and senior leadership. Flexible working patterns may be discussed while maintaining core office presence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
• Experience managing complex balance sheets, reconciliation and month-end processes.
• Exposure to treasury, FX and multi-currency environments.
• Experience in regulated and multi-entity businesses (travel sector advantageous).
• Experience working with auditors and external advisors.

Responsibilities

• Own balance sheet reconciliations with accuracy and integrity.
• Lead month-end close for multiple entities and intercompany activity.
• Oversee treasury, cashflow forecasting and working capital optimization.
• Manage FX trades, P&L impact, and seasonal FX costed rates.
• Coordinate regulatory returns, VAT compliance and external audits.
• Support year-end tax provisions and group statutory accounts.
