Job summary

Broster Buchanan is working with a well-established, product-led business to recruit a Financial Controller. This pivotal role reports to the Finance Director and leads a high-performing team to ensure strong financial control and insightful reporting.

You will own the annual audit, oversee management accounts, and partner with operations to drive performance and strategic decisions in a hybrid setup with flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience leading a finance team and managing audits.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Product-led environment experience is advantageous.
• Commercially minded with ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team with a culture of continuous improvement.
• Own the annual audit, liaise with external auditors, and oversee statutory reporting.
• Oversee monthly management accounts production for accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain strong financial controls, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with operations to drive business performance and financial insights.
• Drive process improvements across finance operations and systems.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and balance sheet integrity.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver business objectives.
