Job summary

Our client, a well‑established and rapidly growing business, seeks a proactive Financial Controller to join the leadership team on a full-time, permanent basis. This hybrid role involves 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home each week.

You will own day-to-day financial operations, ensure tight controls and accurate reporting, and provide commercial insight to support strategic decisions. A clear career pathway leads toward a Finance Director position as the company expands.

Qualifications

• Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 3+ years post-qualified experience.
• Strong Excel modelling, analytical and management reporting capabilities.
• Hands-on finance leadership in a fast-moving SME environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small finance team with strong controls.
• Oversee daily finance operations and accounting processes.
• Deliver accurate monthly management reporting.
• Drive system, process and financial efficiency improvements.
• Produce MI, KPI reporting and commercial analysis.
• Manage cash flow, budgets and working capital planning.
• Provide financial insight for strategic decisions with senior leadership.
• Collaborate with audit, tax and compliance matters.
