Job summary

Alexander Daniels Finance Recruitment is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function and drive strategic growth. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will oversee financial control, reporting and governance while guiding a talented finance team.

The role offers long-term progression, exposure to a finance systems transformation project, and a hybrid working arrangement within a growing East Midlands business committed to development and stakeholder partnership.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with post-qualification experience
• Extensive experience in financial control, reporting and leadership
• Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team
• Strong technical accounting and reporting expertise
• Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering
• Commercial awareness and influencing decision-making
• Experience in regulated environments or IFRS 9/treasury advantageous

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes
• Manage month-end and year-end close
• Maintain strong financial control and governance framework
• Lead and develop the established finance team
• Oversee external audits and statutory reporting
• Oversee cashflow management and treasury activities
• Provide commercial insight to support business performance
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the organisation
• Drive continuous improvement of finance processes and systems
• Support a finance systems transformation project
