Job summary

Jacob Grey Recruitment is partnering with a growing manufacturing business to appoint a Finance Manager / Financial Controller near Leighton Buzzard. The role leads day-to-day finance operations, reporting to joint MDs (one also CFO).

You will oversee monthly management accounts, year-end production, VAT submissions, budgeting, and cashflow forecasting, while developing a small team and providing commercial insight to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or finalist with leadership potential.
• Experience in monthly management accounts including balance sheet reconciliations, P&L production, accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Experience in VAT submissions and year-end production.
• Budget setting and cashflow forecasting; ability to partner with senior leadership and provide commercial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Hands on preparation of monthly Management Accounts including Balance sheet Recs, P&L production, Accruals, Prepayments and Journals.
• Presenting the Management Accounts to the Senior Leadership Team with analysis and commentary.
• Year End production and VAT submissions oversight.
• Managing and developing a small team of transactional staff.
• Budget setting and Cashflow forecasting.
• Potentially acting as a business partner to the senior leadership team, offering sound commercial advice.
