Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is partnering with a UK manufacturing group to recruit a Financial Controller for their Cambridge operation. This role offers £65,000 - £75,000, with progression opportunities and benefits as the company expands into UK and European markets.

You will oversee the UK finance function, work with the German-head, handle UK statutory accounts, month-end close, cost and operational controlling, and contribute to product costing and margin analysis.

Qualifications

• Fully Qualified Accountant with ACCA/ACA/CIMA credentials.
• Experience as Financial Controller or Finance Manager in manufacturing.
• Experience with Sage 50 accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the UK finance department and UK accounting processes.
• Collaborate with the Head of Finance in Germany on group reporting.
• Manage month-end close, statutory accounts, and financial controls.
• Lead cost and operational controlling and product costing.
• Provide margin analysis and financial insights for growth.

Are you a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar with backround in Manufacturing looking for a role within a rapidly growing, UK based manufacturing company, that have recently been acquired by an internation group. Do you want the opportunity to play an active role in the growth within the UK and European market?

On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established UK based manufacturer who are a part of a widely successful international group. They offer the best value bespoke equipment to well-known clients across various industries. The company are operating at a £4-5m turnover looking to double in the next year. This is a new growth role to help the company focus on their rapid expansion across the UK and internationally.

This role will involve you overseeing the UK financial department, working closely with the head of Finance in Germany. You will also be responsible for equity control, UK statutory accounts, Month-end close, alongside cost and operational controlling. Part of your role will be product costing and analysing margins. This is a highly autonomous Monday to Friday position based in Cambridge with progression opportunities as the company grows.

This role would suit a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar with backround in Manufacturing looking for a role within a rapidly growing, UK based manufacturing company, where you will have complete autonomy to lead the companies UK Finance department as well as excellent employee benefits?
