Job summary

Michael Page client is a global leader relocating to a new HQ in Lutterworth. They seek a Finance Controller to oversee reporting, budgeting and controls, shaping the finance function and supporting strategic decisions.

You will lead a finance team, partner with executives and auditors, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while driving efficiency.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with extensive financial reporting experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or construction is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Finance Director as required.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in line with accounting standards and company policies.
• Manage periodic financial reporting to Group HQ.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity.
• Ensure compliance with tax, audit, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain robust financial controls and safeguard data integrity.
• Drive cost management, profitability and operational efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Partner with senior management, department heads, auditors and external advisors.
• Lead, develop and performance-manage the finance team.
• Continuously improve financial systems, processes and controls.

The Finance Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. You will report directly to the Finance Director and be responsible for managing a dedicated finance team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong double-entry bookkeeping and financial transaction accuracy
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable financial insights
• Proficient in financial systems and advanced Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly
