Job summary

EnerMech in Aberdeen seeks a Finance Controller to lead Europe-wide financial reporting, control and statutory obligations. You will partner with the Finance Director to provide risk assessment and decision support, while delivering accurate monthly and year-end results.

You will lead and develop the regional finance team, set objectives, manage performance and build succession plans, ensuring robust governance across the geography and alignment with Group policies.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification and post-qualification experience in financial control.
• Experience in a multi-entity or international organisation is ideal.
• Ownership of month-end close and statutory reporting.
• Experience leading a finance team and working with shared-service or outsourced teams.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and tax coordination knowledge.
• Proficient ERP and reporting systems; data-visualisation skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and year-end close for Europe region; coordinate teams to deliver accurate results.
• Review financial performance and provide commentary and actions to management.
• Support budgeting, strategic planning and forecasting processes.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and journals; resolve unreconciled items.
• Lead statutory financial statements, audits and regulatory filings.
• Coordinate tax compliance and tax accounting requirements.
• Maintain finance control environment and deliver training where required.
• Act as escalation point for core finance activities and cash management coordination.
