Job summary

Sky UK in Livingston is seeking an experienced RTR lead to own end-to-end accounting for a group of complex business areas. You will ensure the ledger is accurate, well controlled and explain movements to stakeholders, while supporting the offshore RTR team.

As the subject-matter expert, you will lead improvements to close processes, drive timely reporting and maintain IFRS compliance within a multi-entity setup. Hybrid working allowed.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with post-qualification experience.
• Strong R2R experience in a large, multi-entity organisation.
• Solid IFRS knowledge and financial controls.
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience (SAP preferred).
• Clear communicator with ability to challenge stakeholders constructively.
• Capable of managing competing deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for entities.
• Review journals, accruals, provisions and complex judgements.
• Explain P&L and balance sheet movements to stakeholders.
• Review reconciliations and drive resolution of aged items.
• Oversee intercompany matching and disputes.
• Lead improvements in close processes and system usage (SAP, Power Automate, AI).
• Support external auditors and ensure controls are effective.
• Coach and develop Senior Assistant Analysts and offshore team.
