Job summary

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Accounts Payable team member to support a high-quality, responsive finance service across the Trust. The role sits within the Financial Accounts team and involves duties in line with the Trust's procedures and governance framework.

Ideal candidates will have GCSEs including Maths/English, progress towards an accountancy qualification or relevant finance experience, and strong IT and spreadsheet skills. NHS environment experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSE passes (grade C or above) including Maths/English or equivalent or equivalent work based experience.
• Acquired or working towards a recognised accountancy qualification or relevant work experience in Finance.
• Desirable: Progression towards obtaining ECDL (IT skills).
• Experience of working within a busy administrative environment.
• Knowledge of computerised accounting systems.
• Experience of using spreadsheets.
• Practical accounts experience.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a range of duties within the Accounts Payable team in accordance with the Trust's procedures.
• Contribute to the provision of a quality, responsive Finance service across the Trust.
• Support financial accounting processes and reconciliation activities as required.
