Job summary

HS2 Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Finance Business Partner to provide assurance and challenge, driving accountability and cost control across directorates. You will oversee team activities (where applicable) and ensure robust financial support for decision making and performance management of direct and indirect costs.

The role requires IFRS accounting, budget development, and collaboration with supply chain finance and HS2 commercial teams to improve cash flow and programme cost

Qualifications

Qualified Accountant with experience operating in a complex environment.
Knowledge of Government accounting requirements to ensure compliance of business plans within delegated authority.
Experience driving budgets and forecasts for major projects.

Responsibilities

Provides guidance on governance within area.
Acts as CFO's representative at monthly review meetings.
Endorses Change and Investment Papers and challenges risks and costs.
Oversees month end close and year-end planning.
Develops cashflow forecasts and supports budget variance commentary.
Supports and maintains business planning and forecasting processes.
