Job summary

HS2 Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Finance Business Partner to provide assurance, challenge and cost-control across the directorates you support. You will oversee governance, monthly reviews, and ensure appropriate financial support for decision making.

You will lead month-end close, year-end audit planning, budget variance commentary, and cashflow forecasting with cost management and commercial teams to drive value for money on major programmes.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with experience operating in a complex environment.
• Ability to challenge forecasts for affordability and value for money.
• Experience in governance, IFRS accounting treatment and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Provide assurance and direction to cost control across directorates.
• Oversee month-end closes, year-end audit planning and variance commentary.
• Challenge budgets, review Programme Board Packs and adjust forecasts.
• Improve cash flow reporting with supply chain finance and HS2 colleagues.
• Support planning principles and enterprise reporting as defined by HS2.
