Job summary

News UK is seeking a Junior Finance Manager based in Peterborough. You will partner with key stakeholders to optimise revenue, providing valuable financial insights while reporting to the Finance Manager in London and Head of Finance in Peterborough.

Day‑to‑day you will drive month‑end for revenue and related costs, collaborate with budget owners, analyse trends, manage balance sheet reconciliations and oversee offshore royalty reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified or qualified by experience.
• Proven track record in Management Accounting within broadcasting/media.
• Commercially aware with strong accounting skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently with stakeholders.
• Demonstrable management experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive the month-end process for revenue and related costs, linking findings to P&L.
• Collaborate with budget owners to deliver insights that optimise revenue.
• Analyse financial trends, variances and performance metrics for budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations including accrued and deferred revenue.
• Oversee offshore resources and royalty reporting with SOX compliance.
