We’re now on the lookout for a strategic, commercially minded Finance Business Partner – Projects to join our MMM Finance team and help shape the future of Merlin.

About the Role

This is a high-impact role that partners with senior stakeholders across Production and Capital Developments to drive performance and deliver key strategic initiatives. You’ll support the MMM Finance Director by delivering robust financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and insightful reporting that supports decision-making across a portfolio of exciting, high-profile projects.

From capital investment and budgeting cycles to supporting the delivery of LEGO models and wax figures, this is your opportunity to work at the very centre of Merlin’s global growth – ensuring every project is financially sound and aligned with our strategic ambitions.

This role can be based at either Arbor London, Basingstoke or Poole on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Finance Support – Assist the MMM Finance Director in shaping financial strategy and decision-making within the Magic Making division and across regional developments.

• Project Business Partnering – Act as a trusted advisor to project teams, offering financial insight, challenge, and commercial problem-solving to help deliver projects on time and on budget.

• Capital Forecasting & Budgeting – Support budget submissions and capital forecasting for both the MMM team and broader regional project initiatives.

• Performance Reporting – Deliver timely, data-driven variance analysis and performance insights to the MMM Senior Leadership Team.

• Metrics & Risk Management – Develop key financial performance metrics and proactively identify and mitigate project-related financial risks.

• Internal Controls & Governance – Ensure robust financial controls are embedded and aligned to both regional and global standards.

• Global Collaboration – Work closely with international finance teams to ensure consistent, best-in-class financial practices across project regions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in commercial finance roles, ideally within a large or multinational organisation.

• Proven track record in business partnering, project finance, and strategic financial planning.

• Experience managing or supporting large-scale projects, with strong risk awareness and cost management skills.

• Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and a talent for presenting financial insights clearly and persuasively.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to engage and influence at all levels.

• Confidence navigating global, cross-functional teams and working across cultural contexts.

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or similar.
• ACCA/CPA/CIMA fully-qualified or equivalent.
• Ability to travel to Arbor London several times a month.
