Job summary

Santander in Milton Keynes is seeking an Assistant Finance Business Partner to support data insights and partner with the Finance Business Partner team. The role involves updating financial systems, coordinating budget and forecast requirements, and ensuring robust cost controls within the business unit.

Qualified candidates typically hold CIMA/ACCA or equivalent with finance function experience, and a degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• CIMA / ACCA or equivalent qualification and finance function experience (Required).
• Experience in management accounting fundamentals, month-end, planning, forecasting and reporting (Required).
• Able to handle complex issues and bespoke analyses; experience in a finance environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather data insights and partner with the Finance Business Partner team to support budgeting and forecasting.
• Update financial systems so monthly estimates, forecasts, year-end closing and next year's budget reflect operations.
• Liaise between the business and Cost Reporting, Planning, Accounting and Transformation teams to capture budget needs.
• Assist in monthly commentary for end-of-month meetings and enable automated reporting where possible.
• Ensure information available to Lead Finance BP enables insight to the business unit.
