Job summary

Paul Card Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Finance Business Partner in Middlesbrough for an initial six-month fixed-term contract. You will work with operational and commercial teams, providing analysis and insight to support commercial decision-making.

Responsibilities include owning month-end, preparing budgets and forecasts, performing variance analysis, balance-sheet reconciliations, and supporting audits and process improvements. Strong Excel and stakeholder engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified, part-qualified or qualified-by-experience accountant with strong management-accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret financial and non-financial data and communicate findings clearly.

Are you looking to work for a leading organisation in Middlesbrough?

We're recruiting a Finance Business Partner for an initial six-month fixed-term contract.

Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you'll act as their key finance contact-providing meaningful analysis, challenging performance and delivering the insight needed to support commercial decision-making.

• Providing variance analysis and presenting clear insights to senior leaders
• Preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Supporting new commercial opportunities, investments and projects
• Producing balance-sheet reconciliations

• Supporting internal controls, year-end audit activity and ad hoc projects

We're looking for a qualified, part-qualified or qualified-by-experience accountant with strong management-accounting experience. You'll be commercially minded, naturally analytical and confident building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Strong Excel skills are essential, alongside the ability to interpret financial and non-financial data and communicate your findings clearly.

The role is based in Middlesbrough, with four days per week in the office.
