Job summary

Paul Card Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Finance Business Partner in Middlesbrough for an initial six-month fixed-term contract. You will work with operational and commercial teams, providing analysis and insight to support commercial decision-making.

Responsibilities include owning month-end, preparing budgets and forecasts, performing variance analysis, balance-sheet reconciliations, and supporting audits and process improvements. Strong Excel and stakeholder engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified, part-qualified or qualified-by-experience accountant with strong management-accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret financial and non-financial data and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Owning the month-end process and producing management accounts.
• Providing variance analysis and presenting clear insights to senior leaders.
• Preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Supporting new commercial opportunities, investments and projects.
• Producing balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Identifying and delivering process improvements.
• Supporting internal controls, year-end audit activity and ad hoc projects.
