Job summary

Paul Card Recruitment is recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a six-month fixed-term contract in Middlesbrough. You will work closely with operational and commercial teams as the key finance contact, delivering meaningful analysis to support commercial decisions.

You will own month-end, provide variance insights, and assist with budgets, forecasts and commercial opportunities. Strong Excel and stakeholder engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in management accounting and producing insights for commercial decisions.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to interpret financial and non-financial data.
• Able to communicate findings clearly to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end process and produce management accounts.
• Provide variance analysis and present insights to leaders.
• Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Support new commercial opportunities, investments and projects.
• Produce balance-sheet reconciliations and improve processes.
• Support internal controls, year-end audit activity, and ad hoc projects.
