Job summary

Distinct | B Corp in West Yorkshire is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the team, sitting at the interface between finance and operations to turn numbers into decisions.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting and management accounts, deliver KPI reporting, challenge senior stakeholders, and support investment appraisals as the business grows in a hybrid work setting.

Senior Finance Business Partner — West Yorkshire — up to £70,000 + benefits

A growing business is looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their team and sit at the interface between finance and the operational side of the business, turning the numbers into decisions.

The Role:

You'll be the finance lead for one or more operational areas, working directly with department heads and senior non-finance stakeholders to give them the commercial insight they need to run their part of the business. This isn't a back-office reporting role — you'll be expected to challenge, question and influence, not just produce numbers on request.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Owning budgeting, forecasting and management accounts for your area, working closely with budget holders through the cycle
• Producing management information and KPI reporting that's built to be used, not just read
• Running variance analysis and flagging risks and opportunities before they show up in the numbers
• Business partnering with senior operational stakeholders, building the kind of relationship where finance is asked in early, not brought in to explain a number after the fact
• Supporting investment appraisals and business cases for capital spend and new initiatives
• Getting involved in wider finance projects as the business grows — process improvement, system changes, reporting uplifts

What We're Looking For:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Solid business partnering experience, ideally outside pure transactional finance
• Comfortable challenging and influencing senior stakeholders who don't have a finance background
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
• Someone who wants to build relationships and stay close to the business, not just close the books
