Job summary

Pertemps Black Country Perms is seeking a Finance Business Partner to collaborate with the Finance Director and leadership team. You will blend hands-on finance with commercial insight to shape profitability, pricing, cash flow and overall business performance.

Based in Walsall, this full-time, office-based role offers £60,000-£65,000 and the chance to influence reporting, dashboards and finance processes as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent experience.
• Strong management accounts and financial reporting experience.
• Experience across budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and commercial analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence using financial reporting systems.
• Experience with Xero or Power BI for dashboards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Producing monthly management accounts and supporting budgets, forecasts and month-end reporting.
• Working with senior leaders across Sales, Commercial, Technical and Operations to interpret numbers.
• Analyzing margins, pricing and profitability across customers and products.
• Using financial analysis and modelling to support commercial decisions.
• Monitoring cash flow and working capital, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Overseeing payroll, VAT and other key finance/compliance tasks.
• Supporting year-end, audit and statutory reporting with the Finance Director.
• Managing an Accounts Assistant and seeking reporting/process/data quality improvements.

Finance Business Partner

Location: Walsall

Working Pattern: Full-Time, Office Based

Are you a commercially minded finance professional who wants to do more than simply report the numbers?

We're recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to work closely with the Finance Director and wider leadership team. You'll combine hands‑on finance with commercial insight, helping shape decisions around profitability, pricing, cash flow and business performance.

What you'll be doing:

• Producing monthly management accounts and supporting budgets, forecasts and month-end reporting
• Working closely with senior leaders across Sales, Commercial, Technical and Operations, helping them understand the numbers behind performance
• Getting into the detail of margins, pricing and profitability across customers, suppliers and products
• Using financial analysis and modelling to help the business make better commercial decisions
• Keeping a close eye on cash flow and working capital, highlighting risks and opportunities
• Taking responsibility for payroll, VAT and other key finance and compliance requirements
• Supporting year-end, audit and statutory reporting alongside the Finance Director
• Managing an Accounts Assistant and looking for ways to improve reporting, dashboards, processes and data quality

What we're looking for:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong management accounts and financial reporting experience
• Experience across budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and commercial analysis
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence using financial reporting systems
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn numbers into meaningful business insight
• Confidence working with, challenging and influencing senior stakeholders
• Experience with Xero, Power BI or developing management dashboards would be beneficial
