Job summary

City Plumbing is seeking a customer-focused and results-driven Finance Business Partner to join our team in the United Kingdom. You will provide analytical and reporting information to drive commercial decisions, partnering with sales and operations across Contract customers, with emphasis on social and new build housing.

You will own data analysis, uncover insights, and present actionable solutions to enhance branch network performance while collaborating with the wider Finance team.

Qualifications

• Qualified with at least one recognised professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
• Ability to translate complex financial information for non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in a large, fast-paced business environment is highly desirable.

The Role:

As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll provide excellent analytical and reporting information to drive the best commercial decisions. This role centres on directly supporting the sales and operations teams across our Contract customers, with a specific focus on social and new build housing. You will take ownership of analysing data, identifying key commercial insights, and drawing actionable conclusions and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing Business Partnering and key financial support to colleagues.
• Presenting the key themes facing the business at management meetings.
• Working autonomously to identify commercial challenges and market opportunities, formulating actionable solutions to drive branch network performance.
• Applying independent thinking to proactively analyse data, uncover hidden trends, and recommend strategic improvements.
• Acting as a trusted sounding board for sales and operations teams to challenge the status quo and navigate complex commercial decisions.

Skills and competencies:

• Strong demonstrable experience in business partnering within a large fast paced business.
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified.
• Ability to communicate complex technical financial information to non technical stakeholders.
• Commercial mindset with a solutions focused approach.
• Strong experience in Excel/ Google Sheets is a must with evidence of large data slabs and manipulation.
• Well organised, with the ability to work under your own initiative managing multiple projects at once.
