Job summary

City Plumbing, a PE-backed business, is seeking an FP&A Manager on a fixed-term contract in Crick to elevate business understanding for the Senior Leadership Team. You will translate complex numbers into a compelling narrative for the CEO, CFO, SLT, and private equity owners, while leading budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting.

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
• Proven background in budget, forecast, and month-end reporting in a multi-business/group environment.
• Strong track record of consolidating complex results and presenting to C-suite.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and report on the overall strategic plan for Highbourne Group, ensuring seamless interpretation of corporate timelines.
• Challenge business units to ensure rigorous planning for maximum returns from the Division's capital base.
• Own budgeting and forecasting, managing the budgeting timetable and creating budgets for central cost centres (c£55m).
• Stakeholder management of the Group finance function and review of all business financial plans.
• Direct and support the Senior Leadership Team on business financial performance and prepare regular reporting on risks and opportunities.
• Own the format and content of reporting packs for concise, accurate decision-making.
• Lead the Security team in investigating, reporting, and making recommendations for all security incidents within the P&H division.
• Identify process and system improvements to drive continuous improvement in the finance function.
• Coach and develop your 3 direct reports, and a further 5 indirect reports.

The Role:

We are seeking an FP&A Manager on a Fixed Term Contract basis to support Highbourne Group's budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting. In this pivotal role, you'll do more than just manage data - you'll translate complex numbers into a compelling, clear narrative for our CEO, CFO, Senior Leadership Team, and Private Equity owners.
Based out of our Crick office, you will collaborate with a small, dedicated team and business partner with senior stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of central commercial finance day-to-day, while providing the vital financial insights that help steer our strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

Skills and competencies

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
• Proven background in running budget, forecast, and month-end reporting processes within a multi-business or group environment.
• A strong track record of consolidating complex results, presenting to C-suite leadership (CEO/CFO), and influencing the business areas you support.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills with extensive experience manipulating large datasets.
• Previous people management experience, alongside a history of driving process improvements and financial controls.
