Job Description:

We are seeking a Financial Business Partner to support the Emergency Services Network (ESN) programme – a mission-critical initiative providing advanced communication services to Britain’s emergency services. This role involves financial planning, analysis, and business partnering with key stakeholders to ensure the programme’s financial objectives are achieved.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as a financial business partner to sub-programmes (Delivery, Service, and Commercial teams).
  • Provide financial insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Manage end-to-end financial planning and reporting processes for the ESN programme.
  • Challenge and provide insights to ensure the programme stays within budget.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing to customers, resolving any queries.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor.

Your superpowers:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in financial business partnering, ideally within a large organisation.
  • Strong data analysis skills with experience using multiple tools.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders.
  • Experience in project management and adapting to changing deliverables.
  • Proactive and confident in challenging the status quo when necessary.
