Your newpany Hays are working with a well-known business in Bath to recruit a Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner for a minimum period of 12 months.

Your new role

This role plays a vital part in supporting the business during a systems implementation period. While it does not directly manage the implementation, flexibility during change is essential. Responsibilities include:

1. Ensuring accurate reporting in monthly management accounts and annual reports.
2. Owning the monthly reporting process, explaining variances and trends.
3. Preparing monthly reports and presenting them to key stakeholders.
4. Analyzing the balance sheet to identify risks and opportunities.
5. Collaborating with wider teams and stakeholders on finance matters.
6. Raising and issuing invoices with correct VAT application.
7. Preparing budgets and distributing them across the business.
8. Supporting ongoing systems transformation as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

We seek a qualified accountant experienced in management accounting and report preparation. Ideally, you will have budgeting and forecasting experience, partner with non-finance teams, and have experience with systems improvements. Being a team player and able to build relationships with diverse stakeholders is important.
