Your new company

Hays is working with a well-known business in Bath to recruit a Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner for a minimum period of 12 months.

Your new role

This role plays a vital part in supporting the business during a systems implementation phase. While not directly managing the implementation, it requires flexibility during this period of change. Key responsibilities include:

1. Ensuring accurate reporting in monthly management accounts and annual reports.
2. Owning the monthly reporting process, including explaining variances and trends.
3. Preparing monthly reports and presenting them to key stakeholders.
4. Analyzing the balance sheet to identify risks and opportunities.
5. Collaborating with wider teams and stakeholders on finance matters.
6. Raising and issuing invoices with correct VAT application.
7. Preparing and distributing budgets across the business.
8. Supporting ongoing systems transformation initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

We seek a qualified accountant with management accounting experience, including preparation of management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience in partnering with non-finance teams and implementing system improvements is advantageous. A team player capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders is essential.
