NET Recruit is assisting a growing financial services organisation to recruit a Finance Assistant for a busy finance team. You will handle daily reconciliations, cash journals and supplier payments, delivering accurate transactional support across the business.

This role offers hybrid working (three days in the Southampton office and two days at home) with a discretionary annual bonus, 22–25 days holiday, enhanced pension, life insurance and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Self-disciplined and proactive approach.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily bank reconciliations and cash book journals.
• Post daily cash sweeps accurately and timely.
• Complete income and expense account reconciliations.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Process supplier invoices and assist with supplier payments.
• Prepare and post journals as required.
• Provide general administrative and transactional finance support.
• Collaborate with Finance Manager and team to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate with Operations and senior stakeholders to resolve queries.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
