Job summary

Express Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established education provider, seeking a Finance Assistant to support a busy finance team on a temporary basis for approximately three months.

This role, following a new finance system implementation, involves project reconciliation work and assistance with purchase and sales ledger reconciliations. Initially office-based, there is potential for hybrid working after the first month.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role.
• Strong reconciliation skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with purchase ledger and sales ledger.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or similar systems is advantageous.
• Ability to support year-end reconciliation and project expenditure accounts.
• Assist with finance administration and ad hoc accounting duties.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out project reconciliation work and support general purchase and sales ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with ongoing finance projects following the implementation of a new system.
• Support the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks and administration.
• Investigate discrepancies and ensure financial records are accurate.
