Job summary

Confidential in Warrington is seeking a Finance Assistant to support accounts payable and receivable within a growing business. The role offers AAT study support and a clear path to professional study such as CIMA or ACCA. Initially office-based during probation with a move to hybrid work (up to 2 days from home).

The role provides a £30,000 salary, with opportunities for development as the finance function grows and the business expands toward its 2030 targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts or finance, AP and AR exposure preferred.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort with Excel and finance systems.
• Ambitious to study AAT or continue professional studies.

Responsibilities

• Process Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger invoices.
• Manage invoicing across three branches.
• Liaise with branch managers on jobs, invoicing and billing.
• Assist with credit control and resolve customer queries.
• Support month-end processes and financial reporting.
• Maintain and update finance systems and records.
• Support wider finance team with admin duties.
