Job summary

Confidential is seeking a proactive Finance Assistant to join the close-knit finance team in a growing financial services organisation. The role handles daily reconciliations, journals, supplier invoices, and collaboration with senior stakeholders.

Hybrid working is offered, with a Southampton office presence and some home working. Salary is up to £30,000 depending on experience, with a discretionary annual bonus scheme, generous holiday entitlement, enhanced pension and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance administration or accounts is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and cash book journals.
• Post daily cash sweeps and reconcile income/expense accounts.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Process purchase invoices and supplier payments.
• Prepare and post journals; provide general finance support.
• Liaise with Operations and senior stakeholders as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing processes in finance.
