Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in the UK. You will work closely with the Finance Manager on day-to-day processes and help maintain smooth operation of the manufacturing finance function.

The role offers exposure across multiple areas of finance, with opportunities to grow within a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Proactive and willing to get stuck in.
Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Analytical with the ability to investigate and resolve issues.
Confident using Excel and finance systems.
Keen to learn, develop and take on additional responsibilities over time.
A team player who collaborates across the business.

Responsibilities

Managing purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently.
Performing bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
Supporting month-end processes and maintaining accurate financial records.
Assisting with VAT returns and other compliance-related activities.
Monitoring customer and supplier accounts to support cash flow.
Working with the ERP system to maintain accurate finance and operational information.
Supporting stock and inventory-related finance activities in a manufacturing environment.
Analyzing financial data and identifying issues to improve processes.
