Job summary

PCI Pharma Services in the United Kingdom is seeking a Credit Control Specialist to develop and implement enhancements to the credit control process, conduct regular credit checks, manage outstanding balances, and issue monthly statements. You will support month-end close and management accounts, ensuring accurate billing and reconciliation.

Qualifications

  • AAT qualification (or equivalent) or equivalent working experience desirable.
  • Experience in a demanding finance team.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and report large volumes of data.
  • Computer literate with demonstrable experience of Microsoft Office Excel.
  • High level of numeracy and literacy skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to work effectively and contribute as part of a team.
  • Works well under pressure and when meeting tight deadlines.
  • Able to organize and prioritize own workload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey information clearly.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality to ensure GDPR compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Review the company credit control procedure and develop and implement enhancements where required.
  • Regular credit checking, ongoing reviews, and monitoring of customer accounts.
  • Manage outstanding sales balances due and contact customers to confirm payments.
  • Send monthly statements and post receipts to customer accounts.
  • Achieve monthly aged debt reduction targets and target DSO.
  • Hold weekly/fortnightly AR calls with key stakeholders to review overdue invoices and steps for resolution.
  • Initiate proceedings to recover outstanding debts when needed.
  • Respond to and resolve disputes on Sales Ledger with Clients in partnership with the Project Manager.
  • Ensure required credit notes have supporting documentation and authorization.
  • Keep the company up to date with new credit management procedures and techniques.
  • Carry out month end Accounts Receivable procedures, including currency translation and GL reconciliations.
  • Own invoice production and timely issuing of invoices; ensure accuracy of billing.
  • Maintain a clean bank reconciliation with posted receipts; coordinate intercompany postings.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects at the request of the Finance Director and Berlin site.
