Job Title: Finance Assistant

Location: Wirral, Merseyside

Reporting to: Management Accountant

Penketh Group is a leading provider of Office Interiors, Technology, Packaging, and Business Supplies. We are seeking an organized and conscientious individual to join our team as a Finance Assistant. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with a flair for finance who wants to join a dynamic and forward-thinking company with a strong team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and timely
  2. Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  3. Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash management
  4. Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes
  5. Maintaining and updating financial records and documentation
  6. Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers/customers
  7. Providing administrative support to the finance team as required

Skills and Experience:

  1. Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role (1-2 years preferred)
  2. Proficiency in accounting software
  3. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  4. Excellent organizational and time management skills
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills
  6. AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable
