Job summary

Radius is seeking a Payroll Analytics professional to lead the payroll analysis processes across our group, including reconciliation of payroll-related balance sheets and driving changes to improve efficiency and reporting quality.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to build budget plans, review headcount, and support the year-end audit pack, while mentoring a trainee management accountant in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment in Crewe.

Qualifications

  • AAT qualified, part-qualified, or currently studying towards an AAT qualification is desirable.
  • Experience in a Finance related role is required.
  • Strong Excel and modelling skills, preferably advanced level.
  • Experience with data preparation and transformation on large datasets.
  • Ability to build a strong rapport with Finance Team and across the organisation.
  • Experience of interacting across all levels including with non-finance colleagues.
  • Able to work under pressure and prioritise to meet deadlines.
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Experience in a fast-paced entrepreneurial business is desirable.

Responsibilities

Job Description
Your responsibilities day to day will be…
  • Ownership of the payroll analysis processes within Fuel and Central Cost Finance, covering the majority of our colleagues across the group.
  • Own the control and reconciliation of the payroll related balance sheet, ensuring best practice and aligning payrolls into the centralised process.
  • Opportunity to redevelop and implement new ways of working, to maximise efficiency and quality of reporting.
  • Working with stakeholders to build budget plans, review headcount and structure, and help the business take insight and action from their numbers.
  • Ensuring a quality year end audit pack is delivered to the auditors at the end of the financial year.
  • Develop relationships with other finance stakeholders and deliver insight on the key cost driver of salaries to enable these stakeholders to improve performance.
  • Support and mentor a trainee management accountant to deliver high quality performance.
  • You will be a champion of finance processes and systems providing proactive assistance, support and guidance to the team, to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies and adherence to Group policy.
  • Support the senior finance management team with ad hoc projects, and the budgeting process.
Qualifications
Experience/Skills Required
  • AAT qualified, part-qualified, or currently studying towards an AAT qualification is desirable
