Job summary

Radius Limited is seeking a finance professional to own the Fuel division cashflow forecast and lead a small team in Crewe. You will ensure accuracy of weekly cash flows, build robust forecasting models and provide variance analysis to inform strategic decisions.

The role offers exposure across the group treasury, opportunities to drive improvements, and a modern working environment at Radius's Crewe site with a focus on development and career progression.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Finance or Operations role.
  • Advanced Excel and Access skills with forecasting model experience.
  • Ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to produce board-level reporting and analysis.
  • Autonomous and enthusiastic self-starter.
  • Experience in leading and developing a team (desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of the Fuel divisional cashflow forecast of c. £200mil weekly gross flows, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
  • Build, maintain and consolidate cash forecasting models; monitor actual cash flows vs forecasts and analyse variances.
  • Lead and develop a team responsible for daily bank reconciliations across the group.
  • Act as a key contact for cash and banking queries; resolve discrepancies with internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with training and developing the wider finance team to embed best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Group Treasury Team to optimise cash positions.
  • Challenge reporting and controls; drive continuous improvement and efficiencies.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects supporting strategic goals.

Job Description

Your responsibilities day to day will be…

  • Full ownership of the Fuel divisional cashflow forecast of c. £200mil weekly gross flows ensuring accuracy, in-depth understanding and timely submissions
  • Build, maintain, and consolidate robust short-term and long-term cash forecasting models, monitoring actual cash flows against forecasts and providing variance analysis
  • Lead and develop a team responsible for the delivery of high-quality daily bank reconciliations across the group
  • Act as a key point of contact for cash and banking queries, aid with resolving discrepancies and liaising with internal stakeholders as necessary
  • Assist with training and developing of the wider finance team to ensure best practices and understanding of cashflow forecasting
  • Collaborate with the Group Treasury Team to optimize cash positions
  • Challenge the existing reporting and controls providing proactive assistance, support and guidance to the team to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies
  • Contribute to various ad-hoc projects and initiatives to support strategic goals
Qualifications

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in a Finance or Operations related role
  • Advanced Excel and Access skills with experience of forecasting models and handling large data sets
  • Ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines within a fast-paced demanding environment
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to produce board-level quality reporting and analysis
  • Autonomous and enthusiastic self-starter
  • Show an impressive attitude and not only take full responsibility for their duties but are enthusiastic to take on new challenges which will develop their own career.
  • Experience of leading and developing a team is desirable
