Job summary

BSB Engineering Services Ltd. offers an entry-level apprenticeship in finance, focusing on ledger processing and supplier reconciliations. You will learn on the job at Quarry Wood Industrial Estate, Aylesford, while studying to become an Accounts/Finance Assistant (level 2) with MID-KENT COLLEGE.

The role runs 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a start date of 14 September 2026. Insurance requires candidates to be over 18, and there is a clear pathway to develop skills in accounting

Qualifications

• Entry-level apprenticeship in finance with on-the-job training.
• Willingness to learn ledger processing and supplier queries.
• Must be over 18 due to insurance.

Responsibilities

• Ledger processing within the finance function, mainly creditor ledger.
• Match invoices to Purchase orders.
• Process with Goods Received and delivery notes.
• Post invoices on ERP software.
• Reconcile invoices to Supplier Statements.
• Handle discrepancies and supplier enquiries.
• Process other creditor lines like credit cards and staff expenses.
• Identify gaps in monthly cost data for accruals and prepayments.
• Assist with inventory data validation and payroll prep.
• Provide cover to other departments when needed.
• Support time and attendance records for around 130 staff.
