Job summary

JBD Accountants in Eckington, Sheffield, invites you to join as an Accounts Apprentice, studying toward Accounts or Finance Assistant Level 2. Start date 5 October 2026, with a first-year wage of £15,600.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00, 37.5 hours per week, on the job learning toward an AAT Level 2. You'll gain experience in bookkeeping, payroll support, VAT returns and use of accountancy software, with training provided by BABINGTON BUSINESS COLLEGE LIMITED.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths required as essential qualifications.
• On-the-job training toward AAT Level 2.
• Full UK apprenticeship with potential progression.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with bookkeeping and general accountancy tasks.
• Supporting with payroll processing.
• Assisting with VAT returns preparation.
• Using accountancy software for day-to-day tasks.
• Maintaining financial and administrative records.
• General office administration and filing.
