Job summary

The Hurley Group is offering an 18-month apprenticeship within the Finance Team. You will gain hands-on experience in day-to-day finance administration, including supplier invoices, payments, payroll enquiries, and pension administration.

Four office days a week combine with one day for training toward a Level 3 qualification, with potential progression to a junior finance role. No prior finance experience is required; applicants must be 16 or over and eligible for government-funded

Qualifications

• Strong numerical ability and confident with figures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Basic IT skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Willingness to learn new systems, processes and financial procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and payments.
• Liaise with suppliers and respond to routine enquiries.
• Maintain accurate financial records and update systems.
• Data entry and assist with financial reports and spreadsheets.
• Support general accounts administration.
• Answer payroll enquiries from employees and managers.
• Monitor and organise the payroll inbox and related correspondence.
• Support collection and checking of payroll information.
• Follow up new starter documentation including payroll/tax forms.
• Administer pension and employee benefit information.
• Maintain confidential payroll records.
