Job summary

Thales in Templecombe invites applications for a 2027 Finance Apprentice, a Level 2 Finance Apprenticeship with progression to Level 3. Start date 6 September 2027. Salary £24,000 per annum, permanent contract, 37 hours/week. Hybrid/flexible options with a clear path to a permanent role.

The role supports a range of accounting tasks, with hands-on training through The Apprentice Academy to achieve Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in accounting.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (5 subjects) including English and Maths.

Responsibilities

• Supporting finance teams with day-to-day tasks and projects.
• Helping resolve timesheet and labour booking queries.
• Supporting the preparation and distribution of monthly financial reports.
• Assisting with cost centre, overhead and headcount reporting.
• Supporting budget planning, forecasting and reforecasting activities.
• Carrying out cost transfers and project closures as needed.
• Producing reports and carrying out data analysis.
