Job description

Location: Buckinghamshire

Type: Permanent

Salary: £35,000 Per Annum (Plus benefits)

Orka Financial has partnered with a business in High Wycombe seeking a Part-Time, detail-oriented Finance and Payroll Officer to manage daily financial operations, ensuring accurate transaction processing, payroll, and compliance reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee daily financial operations, including processing transactions, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and fixed asset accounting.
  2. Administer monthly payroll and pension processes, including HMRC and provider submissions.
  3. Assist in preparing annual accounts up to trial balance and liaise with external auditors.
  4. Support budget planning, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
  5. Manage supplier payments, income tracking, and credit control functions.
  6. Maintain the integrity of the financial and payroll systems.
  7. Respond to queries from staff, suppliers, and regulatory bodies regarding finance and payroll.
  8. Ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal controls, and safeguarding policies.
  9. Contribute to ongoing improvements in financial procedures and team collaboration.
