Job summary

McLaren Automotive Limited is seeking a Finance Analyst to oversee financial support and reporting for Product Development across Engineering and Vehicle Line Delivery, collaborating with the teams designing our luxury performance vehicles.

You will partner on a major vehicle programme, supporting budgets, capital spending oversight, and month-end close while enabling stakeholders with robust reporting and forecasts. A strong accounting mindset and automotive passion help you excel in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining reporting structures and adapting to structure change.
• Strong system skills including SAP and MS Office, particularly Excel (Pivot tables, IndexMatch, Power Query, etc).
• Demonstrate a team supporting mindset with the ability to take on new challenges with effective execution.
• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills coupled with the ability to build strong and lasting relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Time management and organizational skills, with an adaptable and flexible working style.
• A self-starter who can work independently with minimal support but can also work in a team environment.
• Able to work under pressure yet deliver on time with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident in questioning the validity of information and in offering ideas and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Business partner for one major vehicle programme, with additional minor projects, working closely with Programme Management, Functional Engineering and Purchasing to report performance against targets.
• Support the approval of budgets at shareholder level and drive accountability at budget holder level.
• Manage capital budgets for one major vehicle programme and ensure appropriate approvals.
• Support month end, including journal preparation and management accounts commentary.
• Challenge stakeholders to drive accountability and provide tools to track progress and budgets.
• Prepare programme KPI reporting across profitability and present to senior leadership.
• Prepare monthly internal forecasts for input into wider forecasting tools and process.
