New Appointments Group is seeking a Finance Analyst in Stockton-on-Tees to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis. You will support month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, collaborating with internal teams to provide accurate financial information.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related subject.
• Intermediate-level experience in finance or accounting environment.
• Experience with month-end processes, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret financial information and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Good Excel and financial systems knowledge.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with wider teams.

Responsibilities

• Complete month-end activities to support the production of monthly financial statements.
• Prepare financial analyses and reports for management, providing insight into financial performance.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets, expense forecasts and staffing forecasts.
• Produce regular statistical and financial reporting.
• Analyse financial performance and explain variances against budget and forecast.
• Carry out cost analysis and identify trends and opportunities.
• Work with departments to understand financial information and support decision-making.
• Ensure reporting is accurate, timely and high quality.
• Contribute to improvements in financial reporting and analysis.
