Job summary

The One Group in Darlington is recruiting a Financial Analyst on a temporary basis until January 2027. The role focuses on financial data, reporting and analysis, supporting month-end activities and forecasting.

You will produce monthly statements, budgets and variance analysis, and provide clear explanations of performance to management. Hybrid working is available with a busy finance team environment.

Qualifications

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • Relevant professional experience within finance, accounting or financial analysis.
  • Practical experience of month-end processes.
  • Experience of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and variance analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with complex financial data.
  • Good Excel skills.
  • Ability to work accurately, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across the business.
  • Progress towards a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a Financial Analyst to join an established organisation in Darlington on a temporary basis until January 2027.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid finance background who enjoys working with financial data, reporting and analysis. You'll support the wider finance team with month-end activities, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

As Financial Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
