Job summary

The AA in Oldbury/Hybrid is seeking a Finance Analyst to join the Operational Finance team, focusing on the Outdoor cost base across Patrols, Garaging and support areas. You’ll turn complex spend and performance data into clear insight that influences budgeting and decision making.

Qualifications

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and the ability to turn large financial datasets into insight.
• Solid understanding of management accounting, including month-end, budgeting and forecasting.
• Proficient in Power BI dashboards and senior-level management reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills with large datasets and reconciliation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to influence across finance and operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyse monthly financial and operational performance against budget and forecast to identify drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Support month-end reporting and reconciliation with Financial Reporting.
• Develop reporting and Power BI dashboards to improve visibility of spend and cost drivers.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting with operational stakeholders; strengthen forecasting accuracy.
• Provide financial modelling for contract reviews, business cases and decisions.
• Track benefits from cost-saving initiatives and challenge assumptions to manage delivery against forecast.
• Drive simplification of reporting and data processes using Excel, Power BI and AI where applicable.
