Job summary

The AA is seeking a Finance professional to support the Roadside Outdoor Operations cost base. You will analyse historic and projected financial performance, develop Power BI dashboards, and assist budgeting and forecasting for a ~£270m cost base and ~3,000 staff across Patrol Operations.

You will partner with operational leaders and MI teams, turning complex data into clear recommendations and driving cost effectiveness. Strong Excel and Power BI skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability to turn large datasets into meaningful insight.
• Knowledge of management accounting including month-end, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong Power BI capability with dashboards for finance and non-finance audiences.
• Advanced Excel skills with large dataset analysis and reconciliation.
• Clear communication and stakeholder management across finance and operational teams.
• Qualified accountant, or part-qualified with significant experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyse monthly financial and operational performance against budget and forecast to identify drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Support accurate month-end reporting and reconciliation with Financial Reporting.
• Develop reporting, analysis and Power BI dashboards for spend, trends and Cost per Case in Outdoor Operations.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting with operational stakeholders to improve accuracy.
• Provide financial modelling for contract reviews, business cases and decisions.
• Track benefits from cost-saving initiatives and highlight delivery risks to forecast.
• Improve reporting and data processes across Finance, Planning & Performance and MI using Excel, Power BI, AI.
